Salar de uyuni WORLD TRIP DIARIES Dream away and take a worldtrip with us

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

– Mark Twain

In September 2015 we left on a round-the-world trip.

We quit our jobs as market research consultants, left our cosy apartment and said goodbye to our family and friends to live our dream of traveling the world.

We saved up and planned on traveling for about 1 year. In the end we returned home after 1 year and 3 months on the road. We kept track of our worldtrip adventures on our blog ‘Everyday is a Saturday’.

In this section ‘World Trip diaries’, you can read about our adventures during our sabbatical around the world. The blog was mainly written to inform friends, family & people we met along the way.

It’s not a how-to-travel-the-world blog, but it will definitely make you dream about traveling. And that’s the one thing that ‘Seen by Céline’ is about!

From hiking in the Himalayas in Nepal to homestays in Vietnam, crossing Cambodia & Laos on a motorcycle and temple gazing in Myanmar.

A short stop in Sydney brought us in New Zealand where nature was too big to capture in pictures. We broke up the long way to South America in Moorea & Easter Island.

We bought a tiny home on wheels that brought us from Patagonia to the most northern part of South America in Colombia. Cuba was our holiday in our holiday.

The most difficult part of traveling the world is finding the courage to decide you’re gonna travel the world. Once the word is out there, the rest of the steps will follow. Here you’ll find the things that kept us busy in the months before our departure.
